Sequim Home Town Holidays at Centennial Place on the corner of Sequim Ave and Washington St. Each year Santa comes to downtown Sequim via horse-drawn carriage, historic tractor, or antique fire truck! Families can have their pictures taken with the man in red!
The festivities also mark “Small Business Saturday” and the local merchants will be enticing you to their shops to find all sorts of great gifts, stocking stuffers, hold raffles/contests as well as offer some refreshments! The evening will culminate in a tree-lighting ceremony where you can enter the “number of lights” contest where you might win a gift certificate to spend at a local business that night! Immediately after, there will be a lighted tractor parade organized by the Sequim Museum & Arts.
October 7 First Friday Art Walk Sequim Color Theme is ORANGE! Orange is one of the brighter colors in fall as summer fades away. Orange is warm, spicy, energizing, appetizing, sweet, zesty, and inspires optimism and active participation. The hospitable hue of orange reminds us of cozy fires, snuggly seasonal sweaters, nesting and organizing, friendship made out of admirable interests, delightful sweets, encouraging teachers and mentors. You will find works of art and folks supporting the option to dress in shades of orange or spicy fall colors as they enjoy an evening on the town with friends and family.

Blue Whole Gallery at 129 W Washington St. features “Bow Wow” a special exhibit to support W.A.G. (Welfare for Animals Guild) which rescues and adopts out disadvantaged dogs in this area by donating proceeds from the sale of selected art pieces.

Veteran artists, ceramicist Janet Piccola and painter Patricia Starr will curate the windows with original fine art related to ‘people’s best friends, dogs.’ Included in the exhibit are two and three-dimensional pieces, and jewelry.
Dreamer by Ryoko Toyama
Inside, there will be more artwork related to ‘Bow Wow.’ Members of the gallery invite the community to this special exhibit of fine art supporting a local Sequim cause.
Forage Gifts & Northwest Treasures at 121 W Washington Street features local artists and inspired gifts by our state and the Olympic Peninsula. The featured artist during the Art Walk is Susan Kelly-Killeen of Naturally Sooz. She does clay pottery and creates leaf design pottery inspired by nature and the leaves of the season. She will be there in person to speak on the process to make her leaf pottery. Her passion for clay and gardening has blended for a unique outcome with nature for functional pieces of art.
“Wee Pebble Art”Caitlin’s Origami Creations
Pacific Mist at 122 W. Washington will be featuring SticksNStones “Wee Pebble Art” and Caitlin’s Origami Creations during October’s First Friday Art Walk. Diane has created endearing one of a kind original handmade “Wee Pebble Art” using itty bitty pebbles, driftwood, twigs, ferns, shells, and the tiniest of seaglass. Caitlin has expanded her origami creations from tiny hearts to now include original earrings and flying dinosaurs. October will feature Caitlin’s origami pumpkins!

At the City of Sequim Civic Center at 152 W. Cedar Street, the City Arts Advisory Commission hosts at 5:00 to 7:00 PM the First Friday Open Music Jam. Bring your acoustic instrument and/or your voice and join us for an informal gathering of people who like to make music. Chairs provided. In the Karen Kuznek-Reese Gallery, the juried exhibition is “Solstice”.

Forage Gifts & Northwest Treasures at 121 W Washington Street, Mikie Smith of Full Moon Candle is their featured artist for the month of August. She will display candle fragrances in several style options and speak on the process of candle making. Mikie with explain the collaboration in making custom candles specifically for Forage Gifts to represent Sequim. Learn from the artist directly during the Art Walk.
“Summer Bouquet” by Sheri Whetstine
Blue Whole Gallery at 129 W Washington St. features “Joy in the world with an element of whimsy” with artists glass designer Sheri Whetstine and ceramicist Steve Wry.
Sheri Cox Whetstine states, “Since 2006 I have been exploring the possibilities glass offers, which seem limited only by my imagination. I love to tackle new ideas and try new techniques. I continue to take classes and draw upon the expertise of others willing to share their knowledge. I love how a solid, flat piece of glass can be, merely by adding heat, transformed into a thing of beauty, either by intent or chance. I love the predictable unpredictability of warm glass. I can have an idea in mind and create specifically for the desired effect, but there are sometimes things that happen in the kiln which simply cannot be controlled. I can cut pieces of glass and arrange them with a specific design in mind, or I can put lots of random pieces together and let fate decide the outcome. There may be clean, precise lines and edges, or the glass can swirl and wave into whatever pattern it will, in organized chaos. Each piece of glass is carefully thought out, designed, hand-cut, assembled, fused, then slumped or draped (bent into or over a mold). Most pieces, whether large or small, have upwards of 80 hours invested in their creation. The fusing process takes approximately 20 hours and reaches a peak temperature of 1600̊ F, depending on the process. The slumping or draping process also takes on average 14 to 20 hours, sometimes much longer. Oftentimes there are multiple tests of different colors of glass in the kiln to see how they look after firing before the final decision is made. And there are more failures than successes in the kiln. Each piece of glass is completely original as it is nearly impossible to recreate the same piece twice, no matter how hard I try! And while I do continue to produce pieces that are inspired by my imagination, I also am happy to work with clients on commissions and help bring their ideas to fruition.”

Stephen Wry shares, “As a ceramic artist, I try to express the joy in the world as I see it. I love to share my ideas about what might be out there in the world that we just are not aware of. Who knows what’s out there? I try to approach each piece with an element of whimsy and a fervent desire to not take myself or my work too seriously. I work with low-fire clay and glaze as well as Raku and Salt firing. I attended California State University in Fullerton, where I majored in ceramics. I minored in Art History and graduated with a B.A. in Fine Arts.”
The Sequim Museum & Arts at 544 N Sequim Avenue features the Peninsula Art Quilters. Ten artists from the Peninsula Art Quilters group a sub group of Sunbonnet Sue Quilt Club will be displaying a wide variety of art quilts and dimensional works.
Olympic Theatre Arts Center at 414 N. Sequim Ave. has a performance of “The Hobbit” at 7:00 PM Friday night. Tickets available online and at the box office. “The Hobbit” is set within Tolkien’s fictional universe of Middle-Earth and follows the quest of home-loving Bilbo Baggins, the titular hobbit, to win a share of the treasure guarded by the dragon, Smaug. Bilbo’s journey takes him from his light-hearted, rural surroundings into more sinister and wild territory.

“The Nature” by June Echternkamp
Blue Whole Gallery at 129 W Washington St. celebrates “Finding Magic in Nature” with featuring stained glass artist June Echternkamp and abstract photographer Katherine Loveland. June and Katherine express their feelings toward nature, captivated by the moment of light shining over the object, live or animated.
June Echternkamp states, “I didn’t start out as a stained glass artist but as an oil artist. Along the way, I was fortunate enough to sell my paintings and also garnered several awards and ribbons. What changed was when for one of my birthdays, my husband gave me an eight-week course in stained glass. The course was taught by an acquaintance of ours who was /is a celebrated artist and teacher in California. Shortly after this, we moved to Arizona. While living in Arizona, my husband passed away. My son and I returned to Washington and the Olympic Peninsula. After we moved here I joined the Blue Whole Gallery and was asked to display my stained glass. I have sold a few pieces and have met some really wonderful fellow artists. My personal thought and philosophy: ‘Art should make your heart sing and your soul dance.’”

Katherine Loveland shares, “As a little girl playing on the beach, I loved to imagine myself growing small enough to walk into a periwinkle to its very center. I alone knew the secret touch to open the tight-fitting door in the middle. As the door opened, the periwinkle would say to me ‘Now you know my magic!’ Finding the “magic” in nature is my passion. My abstract photographs allow the viewer to see nature in a new way allowing them to know the “secret touch” to discover nature’s magic.”

Pacific Mist – Books, Cards & Gifts at 122 West Washington Street hosts artist Diane Fatzinger. Diane Fatzinger, SticksNStones, will have her one of a kind original handmade “wee little artwork” created using pebbles, driftwood, twigs, ferns, shells, and seaglass. Linda Entrikin from Linda’s Loft will feature her beautiful original hand crafted book bags.

At the City of Sequim Civic Center at 152 W. Cedar Street, the City Arts Advisory Commission (CAAC) hosts the “Pacific Northwest Wonder” juried exhibition in the Karen Kuznek-Reese Gallery. The exhibition will be on view from July 1 – September 29. The CAAC will have their First Friday open house, with Open Music Jam from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the civic center. Light refreshments will be served.

With the theme of “All American Jazz”, the Stardust Big Band will be performing a concert at Olympic Theatre Arts Center on Friday, July 1 at 7:00 PM at 414 North Sequim Avenue. Tickets are $20 ($17.76 promo code USA) and $5 students at the OTA box office or online. Founded in 1990, Stardust has long been known for its presentations of cherished favorites from the Big Band era of the 1930s and 1940s. The Sequim Irrigation Festival’s “where water is wealth” inspires the AQUA color theme celebrating cultivation and culture during the May 6 Sequim Art Walk. The color aqua expresses responsible, sustainable elements of cool fresh water, abundant salty seas, renewing rain, and bright sunny skies. Art and music inspired by our natural resources, creativity, positive partnerships, and revolutionary ideas are included in the May First Friday Art Walk Sequim. From our inventive cultivating irrigation ditches that make our valley abundant to our future forward-thinking ideas are highlighted at the Innovative Arts and Crafts Fair. The Innovative Arts and Crafts Fair celebrates creativity, inventiveness, and sustainability as we honor the innovation that turned Sequim in to a growing, productive community.

Friday’s Entertainment Schedule includes Crazy Daze Community Skits from 6:00 – 7:00 PM and Sara Shea and Group from 7:00 – 8:00 PM on our performance stage. DR Callen, nicknamed Crazy Callen, was the designer of the first irrigation ditches in Sequim that took water from the Dungeness River to the Sequim Valley. Each year we honor this amazing pioneer with a breakfast – “Crazy Daze Breakfast”. No tickets are required. We welcome the whole family to join us for Crazy Daze “Breakfast for Dinner”, where we will have live entertainment, seating and tables for people to enjoy their meals and be entertained with fun skits and music.

Blue Whole Gallery at 129 W Washington St. features the exhibition “Create from Nature’s Order” featured artists are Dan Brewer a fractal artist and Dennis (Doc) Pangborn a two-dimension painter. Dan Brewer started messing around with computers in 1970. When he stumbled upon fractals he began to explore how they are made. The early personal computers (PCs) took a painfully long time to process and render their images. A single change could take nine hours. However, as processing chips got faster and the fascinating fractal world continued to draw him back, his interest in building computers grew. Seven PCs later, newer monster computers had whittled that nine hours per change down to less than five minutes. Dan’s fractal work remains true to the generating equations. It has no layering or partial editing of color. Nor is it redrawn, touched up, or painted in or out of the computer. For Dan, fractals are templates for the imagination to play on.

Dennis (Doc) Pangborn shares, “Having been here a few years now, I continue to be amazed at all the possibilities for compositions. I have a growing fascination with clouds and skies and how best to capture them on canvas. I enjoy experimenting with various painting processes to get the results I’m looking for in my compositions. Palette knives, paint rollers, sponges, and brushes can all play a part when I paint.”
The Sequim Museum & Arts at 544 N Sequim Avenue features Keith Ross, of Keith’s Frame of Mind located in Sequim WA, is widely known and respected for his wildlife photography, and for his event and portrait photography as the official photographer for the Sequim Irrigation Festival season in the Judith McInnes Tozzer Gallery. This exhibit is called “Heavy on Herons”, featuring a full gallery of framed Great Blue Heron images, along with a laser projector slide show of 283 heron images on a 10 foot big screen the museum. Keithalso captures live events like ballet and concerts, using his mastery behind the camera. His images and the story of the rescue of a pair of bald eaglets were published in Scholastic Magazine, and distributed nationally to all the schools in the country. He is also the creator and administrator of the Sequim Outdoors Facebook group, created to allow our local artists and photographers to post their work on a safe platform.

From 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Rainshadow Café at 157 West Cedar Street has live music with Dawn & Steve. Come sing your favorite songs with a full menu and drinks to enjoy. Some dancing is encouraged too.
Rainshadow Café is also hosting the joyfully, talented artist Sarah Necco. She shares, “I am a professional artist and photographer local to Olympic Peninsula, WA. I have been creating art my whole life and enjoy working in a variety of mediums, as well as photography and making jewelry. Most of my work is inspired by my love for flowers, nature, and landscapes. When not working on a creative project, I can be found in the garden, on a hike, or spending quality time with my family and pets!”

This juried fiber arts exhibition celebrating happy accidents, successful satisfaction in Wabi-Sabi, and unintended artistic experiences that often lead to evolutionary forms of expression and joyful acceptance that experimentation is part of one’s art practice. Fiber Artists yearn for thorough planning and tight intention, gratification in challenging practice, and ritual appreciation and amusement in transience and incomplete mistakes. Bumblebunching are the exuberant jumbled loops created by the bobbin when stitching has improper tension while machine sewing.

Whole Gallery at 129 W Washington St. features “Season of the harvest” with Suzan Noyes and Dennis (Doc) Pangborn. Both
are well-established painters, known for their artwork closely associated with
nature. Members of the gallery welcome the community to the new exhibit filled
with autumn color and inspiration. Suzan Noyes shares, “As an artist, I enjoy using pastels and acrylics to capture
favorite subjects – like trees. If my work has you climbing some
branches, shades you along a forest or river walk, or catches your eye
with leafy color, I’ve painted the right tree for the job. Weathered bones of
old vehicles and buildings also catch my eye – all those angles.” Dennis (Doc) Pangborn states,“Being a recent transplant to the Pacific Northwest, I am
daily struck by the beauty and diversity of the animal and plant kingdom
here. Using my palette knives and brushes, I try to bring to the canvas my
interpretation of God’s amazing creativity. Having seen so many beautiful gardens,
flowers, and lavender farms in the area, I’ve been inspired to dip my toes into
the world of impressionist-style florals and landscapes. I also like to
experiment with biomorphic shapes and multiple perspectives points in my
abstract paintings.”

quilters’ work that corresponds with the monthly color theme. A Stitch in Time
encourages people, if they have a quilt they made that coincides with the color
designated for the Art Walk, to drop them off at their shop the day of the walk
with their label and info attached to their quilt.

At 414 N. Sequim Ave., Olympic Theatre Arts Center’s comedy production of “A Facility for Living” by Katie
Forgette is set to open the community theatre’s 2021-2022 Season on Friday,
October 1.
Proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test less than 72
hours old is required for admittance into the theatre. “To me this is sort of the exciting stage,” said actress Vicki
Miller. “Where everybody knows their lines, all of the blocking is done
and now we’re just tweaking things here and there and opening night’s right
around the corner.”
“It’s getting a little tense,” said
actor Joel Hoffman, playing the newly arrived Joe Taylor who rocks the boat One
Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest style. “We have to do all the tech and put it
all in place but it comes together as it always does.”
One of the pay’s tech components is the
“Squawk-Box”, a disembodied voice played over the Facility’s loudspeakers
sardonically reminding residents of various policies and events as well as a
seemingly never ending schedule of old Ronald Reagan films. Volunteer sound
designer David Meissner worked with KPTZ radio DJ Brice Embree and Embree’s
wife Debbie to create the recordings, both of whom also volunteer at OTA.
“One reason I really wanted to do the
sound design is because the squawk box is like a character itself in the show,”
said Meissner. “Sometimes you just hit the doorbell when it’s supposed to ring
once in a while and it’s very important, but in this it’s like you’re one of the
characters. It’s going to be fun to participate and ‘surf along’ with the
actors.”
“It’s going to be a funny show,” said
Meissner. “It builds to a very funny climax. And it’s very timely – it pushes
buttons and it’s going to make people think.”
“I really look forward to coming here
every night,” Miller said. “And not just because the show is funny, which it
is, but all the different characters – they’re just so endearing in their own
way.”
“A Facility
for Living” runs from October 1st to October 17th,
2021. Performance times are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2
p.m. A Pay-What-You-Will show for any and all budgets is Thursday, October 14th
at 7:30 p.m. and the first two Sunday shows offer a “Talkback” session where
audiences can stay after the performance and talk with the cast and crew about
the production in an open forum setting.
Tickets to this Main Stage comedy are
$18 for the general public, $16 for OTA members, and $12 for students with school
identification card, and are available at the theatre box office from 1-4pm,

The Sequim Library at 630 N Sequim Avenue has an artist reception for Pamela Hastings celebrating the opening of the new Art in the Library exhibit at 6:00 PM, immediately preceding the performance at 6:30 PM by Just In Tyme. Pamela Hastings is a sculptor, painter, writer, and teacher. Especially known for her work with life-change via doll making, her book, “Doll Making as a Transformative Process”, is used in art therapy courses in the US and Australia. This new Art in the Library exhibit features painted portraits. Just In Tyme plays memorable hit tunes of the ‘40s, ‘50s and ‘60s. Just In Tyme blends the sweet sounds of gospel by vocalist Mary Charles, lush harmonies with jazz vocalist Olga Palenga, all around musicianship of Becky McKinley, Richard Crowell on electric guitar, and Sandi Lockwood on drums and keyboard.

City Arts Advisory Commission (CAAC) invites the public to the Sequim Civic Center at 152 W. Cedar Street for the opening of “Metamorphosis: An Exhibition of Fiber Art” presented by the members of the North Peninsula Chapter of the Surface Design Association (SDA) from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Works include quilts, felted pieces, fiber jewelry, hand weaving, garments, and other fiber mixed media. Light refreshments and snacks will be available. The Surface Design Association is an international community engaged in the creative exploration of fiber and fabric. The North Peninsula chapter is a diverse group of fiber artists who live in and around the Olympic Peninsula. With more than 30 artists and crafts people, they work in media ranging from bookmaking to quilting to fiber sculpture and beyond.

Blue Whole Gallery at 129 W Washington St. presents “21 & Having Fun” with Greg Felando and Nancy Lawrence, veteran member artists, curating the group show in the front windows with premier pieces. The show is a celebration of rich variety and contrasting styles, focusing on “having fun.” On June 14, 1997, the Blue Whole Gallery, an artists’ co-op with 43 founding members opened its doors. What started as “an experiment in excellence, a fine art gallery of professional artists pursuing creative originality” has continued and thrived to this day. Current membership includes painters, photographers, digital artists, sculptors, potters, fiber and gourd artist, and jewelry artists. As they begin their 21st year, they renew their commitment to present new and exciting shows with quality and originality. With thanks to enthusiastic supporters of the community, the Blue Whole Gallery will continue to bloom.

Olympic Theatre Arts at 414 N Sequim Avenue Sequim Ballet returns to Olympic Theatre Arts for a First Friday evening of originally choreographed dance at 6:00 PM in the Gathering Hall during the art walk. Advanced ballet students Saige Turner and Eleanor Byrne have choreographed their own dances to music they have selected themselves (“Gravity” performed by Sara Bareilles, and “Work Song” performed by Hozier. respectively), as well as dance to a duet to “Everywhere I Go” performed by Sleeping At Last, choreographed by Sequim Ballet director Laurel Herrera. First Friday Art Walk Sequim at OTA is always free to the public, where the snack and beverage bar will be open.
Herrera has choreographed more songs for intermediate ballet students, including a duet to “Moon River” sung by Audrey Hepburn and “Somewhere Only We Know”, performed by Lily Allen. “The theme of the Evening of Dance is ‘I Choose You’, says Herrera. ” I Choose You” is a song about believing in the magic of being together with someone you love. I always want to choose music to inspire my dancers to be better people and inspire our audience. I also want to encourage my dancers to be there for each other….be that angel that someone needs at that moment.” The performances final dance, “I Choose You” by Sara Bareilles, will bring our theme home. All of our dancers will be joined by 3 actors from our “Dance for Actors” class which explores basic ballet, tap and jazz used on stage.” Music and narrations by the dancers and actors will also be enjoyed during the performance. Madelyn Pickens will offer her version of Taylor Swift’s poem “Holding On” and Celeste (last name?) will be included with her lively readings, and Teija Dumdei will sing “The Rainbow Connection” and will be accompanied by her mother Melissa Dumdei on the piano.

In anticipation of World Accordion Day, Olympic Theatre Arts welcomes Ken Lillagore’s “Accordion My Way” performance beginning at 5:30 PM located at 414 N. Sequim Ave. Ken is quick to dispel the accordion’s cliché image. “When you hear ‘accordion’, the first thing that comes to mind is polka or Lawrence Welk,” Ken says. “I don’t play that music. I play the music I enjoy, like show tunes, ballads and standards.” First Friday at Olympic Theatre Arts is always free to the public where the snack and beverage bar will be open.
Rainshadow Café at 157 W Cedar St. is hosting live music with Bread and Gravy from 6 to 8 PM. They will have their full menu available and some small plates paired perfectly with local wine and beer such as Camaraderie, Harbinger, and Finn River, and Port Townsend Brewery.
The Museum and Arts Center features the “A Story to Tell II – Local Sights in Watercolor” by Shirley Mercer exhibition at 175 W. Cedar St. This is the second installment of Shirley’s “A Story to Tell” Series and new paintings of the Olympic Peninsula local vistas. There will be a demonstration with the artist on May 5 at 1:00 PM called “Photo to Finished Painting.”

Blue Whole Gallery at 129 W Washington St. features “Shadows of the past” with digital artist Marilynn Evans. Marilynn creates emotional reality from her original photographs brushed with refined technical skills. A tapestry of beautifully composed images will lead the viewer to the shadow of the past. The gallery will also present a silent auction window by the member artists in support of the scholarship for Sequim High School students.

The City of Sequim City Arts Advisory Commission (CAAC) is partnering with the Dungeness River Audubon Center to host the 2017 Audubon Society’s best avian photography. The photographs will be on exhibit at the Sequim Civic Center, 152 West Cedar Street and exhibit opening is scheduled from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
Meet the photographers and join us for an artist talk presentation from 6 – 6:15 p.m. Enjoy light refreshments before and after the presentation. Heather Roskelley is the 2017 Amateur Winner with a Varied Thrush taken at the Washington Park Arboretum in Seattle. Bonnie Block is the 2016 Grand Prize Winner with an Eagle and Great Blue Heron taken in Seabeck Washington Arboretum in Seattle.
Selected from more than 5,500 entries, the winning photos were published in the Summer 2017 issue of Audubon Magazine and show birdlife at its most vivid, vulnerable, formidable, and elegant. Photographers from 49 states and eight Canadian provinces submitted images in three categories: professional, amateur, and youth. A panel of five judges had the daunting task of sifting through the stunning images and grading them based on technical quality, originality, and artistic merit.

Bread and Gravy are playing live, rocking and bringing down the house of Bag Ladies! Also, find spring colors and fresh styles of artful up-cycled items at The Bag Ladies of Sequim at 161 W Washington Street. All of their creations are one of a kind items that are handmade. Each item has a unique combination of felting, hand dying, beading, embroidering and appliqueing. Several other artists’ works are for sale in their shop as well.

Ken and Priscilla invite the community to the new exhibit for sharing their joy of living on the Peninsula by the Strait.

Olympic Theatre Arts at 414 N Sequim Avenue welcomes ‘Zorina Wolf and Friends’ to introduce you to the joy of African music starting at 5:30 PM. Wolf is offering is “an opportunity to experience joy and healing power of drum and dance. To discover how African music can make you want to get up and move! This performance will share the language of the drum rhythms. You will see how dance steps are mirrored by drum patterns, and how singing connects all these pieces together!”
Zorina Wolf has been teaching African drumming and rhythm training to children and adults for 25 years. She has been teaching in Sequim since 2009. The friends who accompany her are students who have also been bitten by the rhythm bug. First Friday at Olympic Theatre Arts is always free to the public where the snack and beverage bar will be open.
Local bluegrass/newgrass band Hot Llamas perform at Wind Rose Cellars at 143 W Washington St. and enjoy award winning artfully crafted wines with the live music starting at 7:00 PM.

At Lamb Farm Kitchen, meet artist Jean Wyatt and delight in her bright and cheerful paintings, drawings, and handmade journals at 272 W. Bell St, behind the Oak Table. Jean shares, “I like to create art that makes me smile and happy when I look at it. It is meant to be colorful, fun, whimsical, unusual and often a little off-beat. I have been doing some sort of arts and crafts as long as I can remember. My acrylic painting and colored pencil designs are whimsical and colorful. My handmade journals are hand bound and have either hardcovers or soft wrap-around covers.”

At 129 W Washington St, Blue Whole Gallery’s exhibition “Figures and concepts glowing in prism and rhythm” features Lynne Armstrong and Suzanne Eller. In the March front windows, Lynne’s focus will be on figures while Sue will display various assemblage sculptures. Lynne and Sue create from what they see, feel and imagine, allowing the viewers a glimpse into what inspires them.

Pappenspiel Puppets with Max Eberhard Eichner
Starting at 5:30 PM, Olympic Theatre Arts welcomes to the stage “Max” Eberhard Eichner as he performing traditional German “Pappenspiel” puppets at 414 N Sequim Ave. Traveling via bicycle from Bellingham and stopping to spread the joy of theater along the way, Max uses traditionally made paper puppets to tell classic fairy tales and fables from the Brothers Grimm, Jean de La Fontaine and more.
Wind Rose Cellars at 143 W Washington St. will feature pianist and vocalist Dawn Martin performing a variety of classic favorites from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. She has played in a variety of bands throughout the Olympic Peninsula and as a soloist she plays a favorites from Carole King, Van Morrison, Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder, Etta James, Marvin Gaye, Bill Withers, Patsy Kline etc. Wind Rose Cellars bistro menu has food specials and small plates tailored to pair with their locally produced award-winning wines.
