December 5 Sequim Art Walk Color Theme is GOLD and all that glimmers brightly! Gold is the color of our star Sol as we celebrate the Winter Solstice soon and the return of the sun during December. The impressive, shiny color of gold represents superb festivities, admiration, prosperity, rekindled optimism, kindhearted deeds, and lifelong fellowships. As you enjoy an evening on the town with family, friends, and guests who join our welcoming community, you will find works of art and folks supporting the option to dress in shades of gold or glittery interpretations of this festive time of year to celebrate happiness, harmony, and hope.
First Friday Art Walk Sequim is a fun and free self-guided tour of local art venues in Sequim on the First Friday of every month from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. Initiated in 2006, the First Friday Art Walk Sequim is an encouraging and educational arts event that is sponsored and produced by Renne Emiko Brock. Our mission is to create approachable and accessible art and cultural venues that encourage the community to connect and celebrate expression and diversity.
Special Events December 5:

Several of our First Friday Art Walk Sequim venues are part of the Sequim Holiday Stroll and Sale happening from 5:00 to 7:30 PM. Experience an old-fashioned small-town Christmas as you immerse yourself in festive spirit with holiday lights, enjoy carolers, and explore our downtown merchants open late during the Art Walk.

The A. Milligan Art Studio & Gallery at 520 N. Sequim Avenue is hosting the Olympic Peninsula Art Association’s Annual Member’s Show and Fundraiser. A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to benefit the OPAA’s Art Scholarship Program, designed to assist graduating high school students fund their future education in the arts.

Visitors to the Gallery will have a chance to see the diverse works and various talents of the artist members of the OPAA and to vote for their favorite artworks in the “People’s Choice Awards”. A 50/50 Raffle will also be held during the reception. You are invited to come join folks for some tasty bites and refreshments, visit with friends, meet the artists and enjoy the show during this annual fundraising event.

Blue Whole Gallery at 129 W Washington St. features “A Silver Lining” exhibition in the front windows from all gallery artists as the holiday season begins and the Big Dark descends. Where is the silver lining? In the spirit of supporting the greater community, Blue Whole Gallery will be highlighting the work of OlyCAP in their mission to assist those in need in Clallam County. Representatives from OlyCAP will be on hand during First Friday Art Walk to answer questions and provide information about the support they provide.

Forage Gifts & Northwest Treasures at 121 W Washington Street is hosting their Open House through the weekend with family holiday ideas and greets you with samplings and a gift with purchase promo. Their Holiday Gift Boxes are ready to order and are beaming with local products. Support local artists, creators, and makers of goodies with these gift boxes and throughout the shop.

The Sequim Museum & Arts at 544 N Sequim Avenue in the Judith McInnes Tozzer Art Gallery features an exhibit of Peninsula Art Friends (aka PAF) during the first two weeks in December 2025 and the last two weeks in January 2026. Participating artists are Beverly Beighle, Melissa Doyel, Connie Drysdale, Ceclilia Olivera-Hillway, Sarah Hurt, Roger Huntley, Jerri Moore, Shirley Rudolf, Georgianna Seko, and Susan Stewart. PAF is also exhibiting at Wind Rose Cellars on 143 W. Washington Street and hanging at 1st Security Bank on 114 S. Sequim Ave. through December.
As you stroll along the streets during the Sequim Art Walk, you will hear the quartet “No Batteries Required” from members of the Juan de Fuca Harmony.
Pacific Mist Books at 122 West Washington Street will be hosting author and financial and travel coach SharonAnn Hamilton and her two newest publications, “Balance for Seniors” with the proper knowledge and simple strategies, you can regain confidence, improve your stability, and move through life with ease. And “The Garden of Enough!” complete with reflection prompts and journaling space, the book is both a story and a guide. Perfect as a retirement gift, for small groups, or for anyone seeking peace and gratitude in life’s second halt. Pacific Mist Books shares the love of reading and offers an eclectic mix of new and vintage books, cards, and gifts including local authors and artists.
The City of Sequim and the City Arts Advisory Commission invite the public to the Sequim Civic Center at 152 W Cedar St. for the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony and reception for the 4th grade student ornaments project with the Mayor and Deputy Mayor. The “Black & White” art exhibition is on display as well through mid-January.
Alder Wood Bistro at 139 W Alder St. has artisan wood-fired local, seasonal, organic food in the heart of Sequim. While you dine, check out their walls filled with unique art by local artists.

Bring out your inner Van Gogh! Pondicherri at 121 E. Washington St. from 4:30-7:00 PM, inspired by “The Starry Night” – Kathy Nichols will be showing you how to make and take your own starry night painting using watercolors and table salt method to create texture. Art supplies provided. RSVP appreciated but walk-in’s welcome. 360-681-0954. Bring your creativity and join folks at Pondicherri for Art, stocking stuffers, beautiful linens, and carolers!

Grand Re-Opening of the Three Little Birds Studio d’Arte at 112 W. Washington St. with a Sequim Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting at 4:30 PM and you and all artists are invited to join them for this celebration with live music that begins at 5:00 PM. Three Little Birds Studio d’Arte is proud to collaborate with many talented local artists. Art is meant to be enjoyed. By offering commercial retail space at minimal cost to artist vendors of high-quality, handcrafted artisan goods. Look forward to their many workshops or classes and take-home works of art created by you!
La Petite Maison Blanche at 213 E Washington St. features artwork, uniquely curated gifts, treats throughout the shop, and culinary goodies to add zest to your life. Explore the support of local artists and performers, like Katy Lily, at this eye candy, delightful shop.
Warm and glowing! Sequim Spice and Tea at 139 W Washington St. has unique art including glass, pottery, illustration, and photography of local artists. You can also find artful, creative tea blends, colorful and fun teapots and cups, and cheerful culinary gifts.

From 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Rainshadow Café at 157 West Cedar Street has live music with Dawn & Steve. Come sing your favorite songs with a full menu and drinks to enjoy. Some dancing is encouraged too.
Sofie’s Flowers at 127 W Washington St. has their shop full of holiday and artful creations from local artists and decorative pieces reflecting the warmth of the holiday season including décor, gifts, and stocking stuffers.
From 5:30 to 7:30 PM, Habitat for Humanity of Clallam County’s Sequim Habitat Boutique Store at 213 E Washington St. has fabulous live music!
Over the Fence at 118 E. Washington St. hosts local artists in their amazing shop. You can explore your own creative force with pop-up art making!
Western Wanderer at 108 W Washington St. hosts live music, decorative, storytelling apparel, and creative conversations.
The River House Bakery & Cafe at 120 W. Bell Street will be serving a limited dinner menu from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM the café also features local artists.
Pacific Pantry at 229 S Sequim Avenue is open until 7:00 PM and hosts a rotation of local artists.
Soup in the Alley at 138 W Washington features a rotation of local artists, live music, and treats.
